Check out amazing satellite views of the Earth of night!

PlanetObserver presents a new collection of satellite images of the Earth at night. We have combined our satellite images with the latest views of the Earth at night released by the NASA. The newly created images are really amazing!

Those new satellite images of Earth at night show very clearly the light pollution on Earth. They highlight very distinctly disparities in the population density and in the level of development and prosperity.

The satellite image above shows Japan and the Korean peninsula at night. This image is really striking as North Korea is almost entirely in the dark. There is a tiny bright spot that locates Pyongyang capital city. This contrasts with Seoul bright city lights only 200 km south that shine as much as Tokyo!
